The CDM Academic Success Center and the DePaul Career Center want to provide you with assistance in preparing for your future career. Students are strongly encouraged to participate in the opportunities available.

One-On-One Career Advising Sessions

CDM Advising and the Career Center have collaborated to bring career advising to the CDM building on a weekly basis. During a career advising session you can receive guidance on:

• Resume review
• Internship and job search strategies
• Choosing a major
• Job titles and salaries
• Career paths for each major
• Interview practice and networking skills

Schedule an appointment with the CDM Career Advisor Sarah Highstone through MyCDM. Appointments can also be made through the Career Center by calling (312) 362-8437. In-person, phone and Skype appointments are available.

Workshops & Job Fairs

The Career Center coordinates workshops on a variety of topics including:

• Finding an internship
• Job search strategies
• Resume and cover letter writing
• Negotiation skills
• Choosing a major

Each quarter the Career Center hosts job fairs for current students and alumni.

ASK - Alumni Sharing Knowledge

The ASK Volunteer Network connects current students with DePaul alumni and friends for professional networking. Whether you want to connect with someone in your major, a specific company or industry, you can find an ASK volunteer that fits your need. Over 1,000 volunteers serve as career mentors, eager to answer your career-related questions, provide resume feedback, offer practice interviews, and help build your professional network.
