CDM Scholarships
The CDM Scholarship Program offers awards to continuing CDM students each year. Scholarship money in these programs is made available through endowments, corporate donations, memorial funds, and internal organizational funds. Applications for scholarships are accepted each April.
The CDM Scholarship Program is very competitive. While all students are welcome to apply, the following characteristics are often shared by scholarship award winners:
- Demonstrated high level of academic success
- Active campus and/or off campus involvement
- Leadership in work or student run organizations
- Service to others
Note: Scholarships are sometimes aimed at certain academic career levels, majors or class standings. Please read carefully to determine the qualifying criteria for each scholarship prior to sumbitting your application.
Scholarships described on this site are offered by CDM and are intended for current students only. The application period for these scholarships opens March 1st and closes March 31st each year. Awarded scholarships are applied in the following academic year. Please login to

Father Pansza. This $5000 scholarship is non-renewable. It will be awarded to a different student each year.
Qualifying Criteria:
- Undergraduate or graduate DePaul student with a minimum 3.00 GPA.
- Must demonstrate strengths in the following areas via essays:
- Computing
- Service to others
- Artistic endeavors
Additional Criteria:
Applicants must submit a portfolio of artistic work. This portfolio may include examples of visual art, performance of music, recording of performance art, composure of music, web design, photography, or any other artistic creations. The portfolio can be delivered via email in digital form, or delivered to the CDM office if original work is being submitted. Please see portfolio submission instructions.
Additional Information:
The winner must enroll in each quarter for at least one course and must maintain a GPA of at least a 3.00 while receiving the scholarship. If the scholarship money is not used in the academic year it is assigned, the left over money will be forwarded to the next year's scholarship pool.
An annual $5000 scholarship funded by the Colleage of CDM memory of Professor Warren Krueger who served as a professor for 13 years in the College of CDM and his wife, Ronnveig Ernst.
Qualifying Criteria
- Must be an undergraduate student who has achieved at least sophomore standing and be a CDM major
- Demonstrated success in a computer science curriculum that emphasized the study of both theoretical computing and mathematics
This scholarship is made available through donations to the CSS.
Qualifying Criteria:
- Must be a current CSS member
- Must be entering freshman, sophomore, or junior year
- Have a minimum 2.75 GPA
This
$2000 scholarship is made possible each year by the CDM faculty member who wins the Excellence in Teaching Award. The CDM faculty voted unanimously that the cash award would be donated the CDM scholarship effort to fund an outstanding student each year.
Qualifying Criteria
- Be a continuing CDM undergraduate, entering students do not qualify
- Achieve a cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.50 or greater
The amount of the scholarship depends on the contributions from the staff and faculty.
Qualifying Criteria:
- Undergraduate juniors or seniors with at least one year of fulltime study are qualified
- Must have strong academic achievement and be in good academic standing
- Should demonstrate commitment to DePaul’s Vincentian heritage through activities that place value on service to others
- Student may only receive this scholarship once
Additional scholarship funds are made available for CDM students through a general CDM scholarship.
Qualifying Criteria
- Be a continuing CDM undergraduate, entering students do not qualify
- Grade Point Average greater than 3.00
