Norma Sutcliffe

Norma Sutcliffe comes to DePaul from Marquette University where she has served as assistant professor since 1997. With extensive experience in industry, Dr. Sutcliffe has been a consultant for many Fortune 500 firms in evaluating IT needs, IT implementations, and IT strategies. Dr. Sutcliffe has worked as systems developer on mainframe and client/server systems as well. She was a founder and partner of The Alden Group, an information systems consulting firm specializing in applying technology to human resources issues. Her research interests include the impacts of information technology on individual behavior in organizational settings, leadership of IT efforts, the impact of trust on IT development efforts, the changing IT skills dynamics, and IT project management . She has recently published a paper in Information & Management on the impact of leadership behavior on business reengineering projects. She is currently serving as a mini-track chair for the AMCIS conference on IT skills. She has also held positions as teaching associate and research assistant at the University of California-Los Angeles. She earned a Ph.D. and MBA from UCLA.
