Bio and Research Information

Dr. Filipo Sharevski received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in telecommunications from the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje, Macedonia in 2004 and 2009 respectively. In the 2003-2008 period he was a teaching assistant at the Center for Wireless and Mobile Communications, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies in Skopje. From 2008 to August 2012 he was a principle engineer responsible for the intelligent and packet core network in Vip Operator Macedonia – member of the Vodafone group. In 2012, he joined CERIAS, Purdue University as part of the Interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Information Security where he obtained his PhD in mobile network forensics from the Purdue Polytechnic Institute in 2015, graduating summa cum laude. His main areas of research interest include wireless and mobile networks, cybersecurity, cyber-forensics, cyber resilience, intrusion tolerance, moving target defense, cyber operations, and information assurance Currently he is affiliated with DePaul’s University College of Computing and Digital Media as an Assistant Professor in the field of cybersecurity. He is a long time IEEE member continuously publishing and presenting in the most renewed journals and conferences in the field of wireless and mobile networking, information security and privacy, and cyberforensics. For his work he has been distinguished with several honors of best research work as well as field and community contribution.
