Bio and Research Information

Mark is completing his Doctorate in Business Management at DePaul University's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business (expected 2024). His area is Computational Social Science with specialization in Social Network Analysis and Comparative Historical Analysis. He has been teaching at CDM since 2006. Mark received his MSC in Strategy and Management from Northwestern University, MS with Distinction from CDM in Computer Science/Distributed Systems, and a BA in History from Spring Hill College.

In industrial research Mark has worked with Sentiment Analysis comparing twitter data with ad spots in television and radio. He spent 5 years working with Financial Options, Cost of Capital Data including validating the Fama-French CAPM model, Bond Evaluation, and Tobin's Q for Corporate Performance.

Mark has worked in industry as an Enterprise Architect since 2003 including ABN AMRO Bank, BMO Harris Bank, Northern Trust Bank, Southern Company, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Il, TX, OK, NM, United Airlines, and Allstate.

Specific Research Area

Enterprise Architecture, Distributed Systems and Social Network Analysis.
