Software Exploration Lab

The Software Exploration Lab is primarily used by Computer Science students. Students within this lab are given the freedom to experiment with technologies in an unrestricted way that is difficult to accommodate in standard university labs.

Software used in the lab is kept up to date with the newest technologies and is frequently the first place to receive upgrades to the latest software packages. The lab is divided into 2 areas the inner and the outer lab. The outer lab has 25 PCs and always available for student use while the inner lab has a projector and can be reserved for small class sessions.

Mon–Fri: 10:00AM–11:00PM
Saturday: 10:00AM–6:00PM
Sunday: Noon–6:00PM

Lab Access:
This lab is open to all students registered in CSC, SE, DS and TDC courses. Students registered in other CDM courses can obtain a 1 day pass from the lab assistant on duty. Students must activate their accounts every quarter to access the lab.

    • 19” Dell UltraSharp LCD monitors
    • 43 running Windows XP, 2 running Windows Vista

  • 2 HP ScanJet 6200C scanners

  • HP LaserJet 9040DN printer
