CDM has more than 600 workstations in labs and classrooms and the lastest in digital video production equipment. To use the equipment in most of these labs you need to
Activate Your Account.
CDM's Research Labs
The CIM Equipment Center in the Loop campus is the central repository for the production equipment available to students. The Equipment Center, or "The Cage," is stocked with digital camcorders, SLR cameras, field audio equipment, lighting supplies and control, and grip gear. CIM Operations staff are also located within the equipment center.
The Cage boasts a wide range of equipment, from small portable handy-cams, to cutting edge professional production equipment including the Sony EX-1 and 2 Red-One camera packages. A complimentary array of camera accessories and lighting packages, a variety of microphones, and other equipment is also available to suit any sized student production.

MSDNAA
The Microsoft MSDN Academic Alliance (MSDNAA) is a special program to provide academic institutions, faculty, and students with leading-edge tools for students.
Terminal Server How-To
Students in some courses can connect remotely to CDM resources.

SSH FTP/Telnet Client
The SSH FTP/Telnet Client assists students in uploading files to their web space.
Remote Desktop Client
This software allows remote connection to desktops.
Linux at CDM
CDM offers Ubuntu Linux in the Lan lab (CDM 659). If you need access to these machines, please contact a lab assistant for assistance with the login procedure.
For certain classes, you might need access to the Linux Environment remotely to complete an assignment. Please follow these steps:
- Make sure you activate your CDM account. Login with your CampusConnect username/password. This page will provide you with your CDM username/password.
- Connect via SSH to: cdmlinux.cdm.depaul.edu
- Enter your CDM username/password. Do not put CSTCIS before your username when logging into Linux via SSH.
