Q: Where do I send my documents?
A: Graduate Applicants should send all documents for application to:
DePaul University College of CDM
Office of Graduate Admissions
243 South Wabash
Chicago, IL 60604-2301
USA
Q: What are the start dates for each quarter?
A: Information about the start and end dates of each quarter can be found here.
Q: Why don’t you require the GRE?
A: Since its inception, DePaul University has been grounded in Vincentian principles – believing that a higher education should be accessible for everyone. While CDM gladly accepts GRE scores (and in a few programs they are required), they are not critical for admission to most graduate programs.
We look at the individual application and make a decision based on an applicant’s past academic performance, work experience, and drive to succeed in our programs.
Furthermore, since each of our degree programs has pre-requisite classes, and students must be waived out of or succeed in those courses, students are given an opportunity to demonstrate their academic abilities before entering the core courses of their program.
Q: How long does it take to finish a degree at CDM?
A: Most graduate students complete their degree within 2-3 years, depending on how many classes they take each quarter. Each master’s degree program is 13 courses. The majority of our students work full-time so they take 1-2 classes per quarter.
Q: What is a PPA?
A: PPA stands for Prerequisite Phase Assessment and refers to a meeting every admitted student has with their faculty advisor before course registration. A PPA can be in person, over the phone or by e-mail. PPA’s typically last for 30-45 minutes and during this time the faculty advisor reviews a student’s academic records and work experience to determine which prerequisites need to be taken and which can be waived.
