All degrees share the same approach of combining the teaching of theoretical fundamentals with hands-on practice and our courses are taught by full-time faculty and industry professionals. Our innovative curriculum is always at the forefront of the ever changing world of digital media to provide our students with the most sought after skills to be competitive in today’s market. The CIMs academic facilities are kept continually up-to-date with industry-current software, equipment, and technology.

Some courses offered by the School of Cinema and Interactive Media are supported by the home-grown Course OnLine (COL) system. COL integrates lectures playback with a comprehensive course management system that allows students the flexibility to review lectures or take courses entirely online. Over 80 online courses are offered online at CDM  each quarter and the MS in Human Computer Interaction degree can be completed entirely online.

CDM's Undergraduate Programs reflect DePaul's focus on liberal studies with specialized and rigorous study in technology. Our degree programs offer academic options in technology, computing, and media that stay closely connected to emerging trends.

Our Graduate Programs are designed for working professionals to advance their careers. Classes are offered in the evenings in the Loop with some CIM courses available online.
