Ron Fernandez is an Assistant Professor in the Digital Cinema program. He received his MFA from the University of Southern California, where he studied and taught in the School of Cinematic Arts. He has worked for such companies as Disney, NBC-Universal, CBS, Silver Nitrate, Dick Clark Productions, and CW. His favorite movies are too numerous to list, but would probably include the three G's: 'Gilda,' 'The Godfather,' and 'Groundhog Day.'
He is currently directing "The Name Project," a documentary in association with the Vincentian Endowment Fund, with Ameena Igram. His writing credits include "Grendel," with Ben Cross, Marina Sirtis, Chris Bruno. Dir. Nick Lyon; "Rock Monster" with Jon Polito, Chad Collins. Dir. Declan O'Brien; and "Amsterdam" which he is casting and directing for Deviant Films. He is in post on "Lady of the Lake," with Sanny Van Heteren, Daniel DeWeldon (MDR Productions). His producing credits include the music video for"Her Fantasy," with Matthew Dear, directed by Tommy O'Haver, for Ghostly International; "Meanwhile" Hal Hartley's latest film, with DJ Mendel, and the commercial/short "New Camera with Carmen Corral.
He was Executive in Charge of Production on "The Last Word" - With Winona Ryder, Ray Romano, Wes Bentley. Ron started in casting on such shows as America's Next Top Model and Cupid.
