Students can develop leadership skills, share ideas, and make new friends through one of CDM's many student organizations. Students in CDM form support groups, social and cultural groups, groups based on their majors, degree levels, and technology interests, and student chapters of national organizations.
The DePaul Chapter of ACM-W initiates and promotes opportunities for women in computer science that lead to academic success, career growth and personal enrichment. This student-led organization develops and sponsors programs of special interest to women associated with the DePaul University community. It also provides a supportive culture for the exchange of ideas, networking, and socializing.

The purpose of the Animation and Digital Media Society (ADMS) is to create a network among students that will better prepare them for their future careers in graphics and animation. We encourage every student to bring knowledge from various fields and share them with other group members. We also provide students with access to learning materials such as DVDs and tutorials. Moreover, we hold competitions and critiques for students’ animations, 3D models, or any other computer graphics related projects. Group projects, workshops, animation showings, and previews are held on a weekly basis. Speakers from the industry give valuable information to guide students through their education. The objective of the DePaul student chapter of Black Data Processing Associates is to accumulate a pool of information technology knowledge and business expertise with the intention of utilizing these resources to support students who are studying the fields of information or computer technology so that they will be successful at DePaul and in their professional careers; strengthen the expertise of its members of the Information technology community; offer this expertise to those interested in evaluating Information Technology for future career/business potential; and broaden the Information Technology knowledge of the community as a whole.
The Chinese Student Association provides students with a community building events, online bulletin board, guest book and news to connect the many Chinese students studying at CDM and DePaul.
The Computer Science Society (CSS) is comprised of people who want to succeed in the always-evolving world of computers and computer-related fields. Computers touch all of our lives and will someday encompass almost every aspect of the way we live. The CSS is a network of students that range from freshmen to graduate students in all fields of study!
The mission of Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE) is to recognize academic excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in the Computing and Information Disciplines through higher academic research activities and events.
The CDM honor chapter of UPE was approved by National UPE in Spring 2003 and since then it initiated over 1,000 members becoming the largest UPE chapter. Students who accept the invitation to become UPE members participate in the initiation ceremony and have the honor of wearing the UPE regalia at the graduation ceremony, which will definitely set the UPE members apart from the other graduates. Other benefits include enhanced resume, scholarships, ACM membership, and networking and research activities.

DeFrag is DePaul University's Fundamental Research in Academic Gaming Club. DeFrag concentrates on computer and console games and game development. This club is for game enthusiasts at any point in their education!
The Graduate Student Association (CDM-GSA) at DePaul CDM is an organization comprised of graduate students for graduate students. CGA promotes information, community, and networking opportunities for our members, and maintains strong relationships with the CDM Alumni Association and the DePaul Career Center.
Student members of the IEEE Student Branch at DePaul University are primarily interested in the Computer Science and the Communications Society (ComSoc). The mission of the IEEE at DePaul University is to provide valuable technical, and non-technical information on a variety of topics; to provide opportunities for students to build relationship; and to build a bridge between DePaul University students and the business community.
The DePaul Indian Students Association (DISA) is a service organization for the Indian /Indian American students at DePaul University. The aim of the Pakistani Student Association is to promote the academic and social growth of Pakistani Students of DePaul so they can contribute to the broader DePaul community by their services. The secondary purpose is to preserve the culture of Pakistan and plan events to promote the name of DePaul University all around the city, so that more and more Pakistani students enroll at our university. PSA is the first Pakistani organization founded at DePaul and we take the pride to represent Pakistani culture at DePaul. The cultural events from PSA will promote the better understanding of the Pakistani people and culture.
The National Society of Black Engineers, or NSBE (pronounced nez-bee), is an international, student-run organization whose purpose is to increase the number of culturally responsible engineers and computer science professionals who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community. NSBE is comprised of more than 250 chapters on college and university campuses and more than 50 Alumni Extension chapters world wide. The DePaul CDM chapter is open to both graduate and undergraduate students.
UMMA, or United Muslims Moving Ahead, is the Muslim Student's Association chapter at DePaul University. Our mission is to unite and serve the Muslim community at DePaul. We provide prayer services, host fast-breaking services, invite speakers to talk about Islam and other relevant topics, sponsor events celebrating the Islamic religion and culture.
Security Daemons is a network for Computer, Information, and Network Security graduate students, Information Assurance and Security Engineering and Network Security majors, security minors, and any other DePaul student that has an interest in computer security.
