My name is Alan Kotlyar, and I was born and raised in Skokie, IL. I am working on a master's in Computer Science at DePaul. Outside of my master's studies, I teach middle school mathematics. I graduated from Hillsdale College in 2020 with majors in Mathematics and Political Economy and a French minor. The first computer language I learned was Java during my senior year of high school, and it remains my favorite. I am also proficient with introductory Python and love constructing Turing machines.
