Bio and Research Information

Prof. Tverdek is a moral and political philosopher specializing in the areas of political economy, environmental politics, social theory, and ethics. He served as Data Privacy Analyst for SPSS, Inc. and has published articles on the social implications of data mining, terrorist profiling, and the nature of internet “anonymity.” In addition to his role at CDM, he is an adjunct lecturer at Catholic Theological Union, where he teaches seminarians and aspiring ministers in 20th-century philosophy, the epistemology of religious belief, and related topics. Edward is a Franciscan and a Roman Catholic priest, ministering at St. Peter’s Church in the Loop as well as other parishes in the Chicago area.
