Jordan Rivers

Bio and Research Information

Jordan Rivers is an Emmy-nominated producer, multidisciplinary storyteller, and award-winning creative professional specializing in narrative development for film, television, and theater. Her work reflects a deep commitment to creative equity, mentorship, and the elevation of underrepresented voices in storytelling. Rivers’s short films have screened at national festivals and secured distribution on platforms including AMC+, VTV, KweliTV, and OTV. Her producing honors include Best in Illinois at the Blue Whiskey Film Festival, Best Student Short at the George Lindsey Film Festival, two Telly Awards, and Best Producing at the 18th Annual Premiere Film Festival. In addition to her film and television work, she is the author of The Village children’s book series and is actively developing adaptations for both stage and screen. She holds a BA in Creative Writing from Columbia College Chicago and two MFAs: one in Creative Writing (Screenwriting) from Full Sail University, and another in Creative Producing for Television and Film from DePaul University.
