The Executive
This course includes an advanced in depth study of the many ways producorial faculties may be used in essential executive industry leadership positions, including but not limited to: talent managers, agents, studio executives, network executives, development executives, casting executives, line producers, and more. Emphasis will be placed on inquiry into the various positions and the ability to read the film and television market through these lenses. Topics covered will include study on these various departments, guest speakers with prowess in these positions, as well as a breakdown of representing creative talent. Toward the end of the quarter, students will be expected to schedule an informational interview with an executive of their choosing. Upon completion, students will be able to apply their skills to any of these executive roles.
