Editing I
This course focuses on the role of the editor in cinematic storytelling. Students analyze and assemble dramatic scenes using a variety of techniques and strategies. Through practice and critique, students will learn how to use digital editing tools to structure a scene from raw materials to a fine cut. Projects will explore how aesthetics and visual rules guide an edit.
Enrollment in one of the following programs is a prerequisite: BA Animation, BFA Animation, BA Film & Television, BFA Film & Television, BS Information Technology (Media Engineering concentration only), Minor Film Production, Minor Visual Effects.
