A native of South Korea, Sanghoon Lee moved to the U.S. to attend the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he pursued his MFA in Filmmaking. He has been working as a director, producer and cinematographer in Chicago’s independent film community ever since. As a producer, he completed several award-winning dramatic features including Second Moon, Chicago Heights and Hogtown. His credits also include feature documentaries Edit, Today We Saw the Face of God and Breakfast at Ina’s.
Recently he finished shooting Banana Season that he wrote and directed. The film will be completed in the spring of 2017.
