COL Course Recording System

Course OnLine

Course OnLine (COL) is CDM's in-house developed Online Learning environment which integrates a course management system and a lecture playback system.

The COL lecture playback system provides a window to the classroom. With COL, you see and hear your professors, as COL records the live lecture and uses multiple screens to display the lecturer, in-class presentations, and notes on the whiteboard. Throug​h COL you can also access course syllabi, handouts, and assignments, receive college announcements, and use email and discussion groups to communicate with other students and faculty. All enrolled students can use COL to view missed classes and review class sessions.

Playback Options
Online learning students have access to the following playback options:

  • COLPlayer: available as a standalone application for Windows Operating Systems.
  • FlashCOLPlayer: available as a streaming based browser application for all Operating Systems to view lectures online.
  • Podcasting: available for mp3 files.
