"Hi, I'm Colin Lucero-Dixon! I'm a graduate student in the MFA Documentary program here at DePaul. I received my Bachelor's degree in Film from the University of Michigan, and fell into documentary editing after moving to Chicago. Back in undergrad, I was able to work in historical and archival research and documentary really let me fuse those interests with film. After editing for other documentarians for a few years, I decided to apply DePaul's Documentary program to learn how to pursue and produce my own documentaries. I was incredibly impressed by DePaul's dedication to specific documentary classes. The program feels so specialized here for a relatively small field, and I'm happy to be a part of it."
