Brian Johnson

Bio and Research Information

Brian Johnson is a multidisciplinary designer of 20 years. He has worked as an industrial designer, landscape architect, and horticulturalist. He received his MFA from Academy of Art University, a BLA from Mississippi State University, and a BS from the University of Tennessee. As an industrial designer, he has worked in the outdoor industry, the automotive aftermarket industry, as well as the Everyday Carry (EDC) domain. Brian has planned, designed, and developed products with emphasis on function, ergonomics, aesthetics, styling, as well as marketing considerations and manufacturability. He is also a partner at Obstructures. Obstructures is a design collective turned interdisciplinary design firm. Currently, Obstructures is focusing on the design of sound equipment.
