Michelle Lega (she/her) is an Adjunct Professor at DePaul University's School of Design in the Jarvis College of Computing and Digital Media. She is a game designer and producer with 5+ years of experience working in the games industry. After completing her MFA in Game Design at DePaul University, she worked as a senior producer and release manager at a number of indie game publishers. She gave a talk at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in 2023 and has had games honored at conferences like IndieCade, Console-ing Passions, Pixel Pop, and GamebIITes. Aside from her work in games, Michelle has experience working in nonprofit administration, graphic design, and social media marketing.
Michelle's research focuses on games as a tool for connection via haptics and physical touch, complex narratives in interactive media, and building production processes that work for the people using them.
