SCWR 380: Digital Comedy Content Creation

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of creator-driven comedy production, focusing on crafting short-form comedic content for digital-first entertainment spaces. Students will develop their unique comedic voice through hands-on exercises in ideation, storytelling, shooting, and editing, using accessible tools such as smartphones and consumer-grade cameras. Emphasis is placed on low-budget, agile filmmaking techniques, ensuring that students can create high-quality, engaging content independently. With a focus on rapid iteration and experimentation, students will generate multiple pieces of work, building both confidence and a strong creative practice.
