Funding Resources

Scholarships

The Institute for Professional Development is pleased to announce a new need-based financial award, the Chou Family IPD Scholarship, to provide funding for students interested in our certificate programs.

Veteran's Benefits

Many IPD certificate programs qualify for VA Benefits. To find out if the IPD program you're interested qualifies for funding, please contact DePaul's Office of Veterans Affairs at 312-362-5656 or veteransaffairs@depaul.edu. To learn about resources available to veterans at DePaul, visit Veteran Services.

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act (WIOA) is a federal initiative that provides financial assistance to unemployed persons and those who meet federal low-income guidelines for the purpose of job training. Most, but not all, IPD certificate programs qualify for WIOA funding. In Illinois, you can find out more about the WIOA Works Initiative at ILLINOISworkNet. You can also locate and contact your local WIOA agency to determine if you qualify for a grant. Prospective WIOA students must still apply for admission for the IPD program they are interested in.

To check whether an IPD program qualifies for WIOA funding, search for the program at the WIOA Approved Training Programs website.

If you have questions or need paperwork filled out, please send e-mail to ipd@cdm.depaul.edu, include a good time for our staff to call you, a phone number where we can reach you, and what programs you're interested in.

Payment Plans

Most IPD programs qualify to participate in the university's payment plans. Programs between seven (7) and eleven (11) weeks in length qualify to participate in DePaul's Single Term Payment Plan (allowing you to pay your current term charges in three monthly installments) or the Employer Tuition Deferral Plan (designed for students who will receive tuition reimbursement from their employers, this plan defers your tuition due date until the end of the quarter). The 26-week Career Change Program has its own six-month installment plan.

Once a student is accepted to an IPD certificate program, our staff can give you more information on how to enroll in these plans. There is an additional fee to participate in these payment plans.
