Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act (WIOA) is a federal initiative that provides financial assistance to unemployed persons and those who meet federal low-income guidelines for the purpose of job training. Most, but not all, IPD certificate programs qualify for WIOA funding. In Illinois, you can find out more about the WIOA Works Initiative at
ILLINOISworkNet. You can also
locate and contact your local WIOA agency to determine if you qualify for a grant. Prospective WIOA students must still apply for admission for the IPD program they are interested in.
To check whether an IPD program qualifies for WIOA funding, search for the program at the
WIOA Approved Training Programs website.
If you have questions or need paperwork filled out, please send e-mail to
ipd@cdm.depaul.edu, include a good time for our staff to call you, a phone number where we can reach you, and what programs you're interested in.
